Haykanoush Restaurant - is a part of Tufenkian Old Dilijan Complex , located in the historical city center of Dilijan, on Sharanbeyan street.
Haykanoush restaurant is located in a two-store mansion dated 19th century.
The restaurant has two halls in the main part and a separate banquet hall on the second floor; it also serves guests in the warm season on the summer veranda and in the summer cafe. The windows of the restaurant open a splendid view of the lush and truly beautiful nature of Dilijan.
Since the entire Tufenkian Old Dilijan Complex seems to recreate the era of the late 19th - early 20th century, slightly adapted to the needs of a modern person, the ascetic interior of the Haykanoush restaurant also corresponds to the traditions of that era. The high ceiling is adorned with wooden beams and heavy metal chandeliers, and the restaurant's floor is covered with the legendary handmade Tufenkian carpets. The restaurant will give you a warm atmosphere suitable for a quiet evening and will feed you with excellent dishes of Western Armenian cuisine, which you will not find in other Dilijan restaurants.
We serve original dishes such as apricot mushroom soup or pomegranate stew, the seasonal specialty tolma in raspberry leaves and, of course, tree mushrooms. We ourselves bake airy buns and pies with spinach or spicy meat. And rich stews are the highlight of the Haykanoush restaurant.
